CMYBA Fields Smoke-Free
In our first April meeting, the membership passed a by-law making the CMYBA fields smoke-free. This prohibits smoking in and around the CMYBA fields. The new rule will be in effect immediately.
An area across the foot bridge near our blue storage building has been designated as a smoking area for those who still want to partake. A smoking container will be put in place soon in order for you to dispose of your butts.
We thank you in advance for your cooperation with the new rule.

Because it's more than a game
people ask, "why do you spend so much time playing with these kids?"
there are so many things i could say but the answer is -
because it's more than a game.
i sort through piles of old equipment
looking for a bat that still has some hit left in it.
working with worlds of different skills
i seek to improve without dispiriting,
to show a better way without losing their enthusiasm or joy.
because it's more than a game...
i utilize my own resources and provide
opportunity they have no other way to know.
i spend my time generously -
i know attention is the best gift i can give.
i teach team at the same time i inspire individual strength.
i celebrate the ball out of the park as sincerely as
the courage to pick up the bat. it's the same thing.
i may leave the game but i will always be a coach.
i work so hard...
because it is more than a game.
it's a way of drawing out a talent
and inviting vision for the bigger fields of their days.
